1- if i have a $7 walgreen cash in my account, can i use part of them , like if my total would be $5 or i have to use them all in one transaction?

2- to use the walgreen cash or RR, does that apply to the purchase BEFORE or after tax?

3- if i had earned more than one walgreen cash , like another $5 for example , so for redumption next time , will the cashier tell me which one would expire before?

4- i have a bday reward that says earn 10x Walgreen cash, does it mean if a deal that earns me $5 W cash, would earn me $50 instead?
it also says (all month long . does it mean, as how many times as i make a purchase during that month , or its a one time thing?

5- i was just trying to make an online purchase, total of $12+, i had the $7 W cash in my account, it said that i can use $5 only of the $7? how is it calculated?

thank you

Hey Matt! The general rule of thumb is ‘Use Wags Cash to pay for rewards that generate RR’ and ‘Use RR on deals that generate Wags Cash.’ But remember, if you are doing a threshold offer in a transaction, (spend a certain amount, get …) do not pay for that transaction with Wags cash because that will bring down your total price to below the required amount. Hope that makes sense. šŸ™‚

I understand can’t use a register reward to pay for the same type of item that produced the register reward. Also cannot use the cash rewards to pay for an item that produces cash rewards.

Can i use cash rewards to pay for an item that produces a register reward? or does this cancel the reward.

I have a question. There is an offer on a specific brand right now to spend $20 and receive $10 cash rewards. My total is $23 before taxes. However there is also a $4 manufactured coupon and a promotion code for 30% off regular priced items (discount is $5.70) . I also have a digital coupon clipped that I get $5 cash rewards when I spend $20 . My question is will I get both the $10 and the $5 cash rewards with my transaction as is. Or because of the coupons and promotions will I not receive anything? Please please help

Hi Jacky! You have to spend $20 or more before tax on the products that are part of the promotion. And there is a limit of 1 RR printed per offer per transaction. If you want to buy multiples, it is best to split the products into multiple transactions.

Hi, Chris! Walgreens promotional thresholds is always after any Walgreens coupons but before any Manufacturer coupons. So to your question, using the 25% off coupon will take you down to, as you said, $32.25, BUT there is a limit of 1 RR printed per offer per transaction. For example, if you buy the $43 worth of King C products in one transaction, then it will only print one RR.

Your solution here would be to split your $43 purchase into two $20-something transactions to hit the $20 spend twice. That way, you get two $10 in W Cash. Since the 25% coupon will take you below the threshold for either transaction, it would be better if you save that for something else.

I hope this helps!

Yes, you should be able to use the $5/$20 coupon and then use points to pay. However if the coupon is get $5 Walgreens cash back when you spend $20 then you would not be able to combine both offers.

Wags is giving $10 Wags cash for every $20 of King C Gillette right now. My question is if I use the 25% off, does that count against me? Or will it not affect the ā€œspendā€ like manufacturer coupons dont? My total after the 25% will be $32.25 I want to hit the spend $20 2X

Hi there! You would have to meet the threshold on both coupons so the total would need to be $37 before manufacturer coupons and after Walgreens coupons. You are not supposed to be able to use more than one booster type coupon per transaction though.

You got it right, Arly! Since the offer you got was Buy TWO Get One Free, the two coupons were applied to the first two. No coupon was applied to the third one (the free one). You were only supposed to pay $8 of the the $12 value you mentioned (because of the B2G1F), but the $4 and $2 coupons brought that down to the $2 that you paid. It worked perfectly!

So yes, Rule #7 stands, you can’t apply a coupon to the product that came free with that kind of offer. Hope this helps!

basically I went to Walgreens (1st time couponing) with 2 MFN coupons clipped on the app. 1 for $4 off 2 TRESemme products and 1 for $2 off 1 TRESemme product. When I went in, there was a B2G1F in store deal. ($3.99 per item. equaling $12 value) and I only paid $2 for these items. Both coupons were applied even though there was a B2G1F. Is it because it was a B2 instead of a B1 deal? Let me know if I’m missing something about this rule please!

Hi Amanda! Sure you can. These digital coupons are called store coupons. You can combine a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon to score a bigger discount on a single product in the same transaction.

Hi Mandy! If the item is on buy one get one 50% off, you’ll get one for full price and one for 50% off. For your example, the total amount for the items would be $7.50. You’ll then get the points if you meet the $20 threshold before using any manufacturer coupons and after Walgreens coupons.

So if I needed to spend $20 to get points and let’s say the item is $5 making the second $2.50…is this $7.50 towards total or $10

Hi, Stewie! Great questions!
For your first question, yes, that should work šŸ™‚
As for your second, the second coupon won’t stack since the $5 off 2 already covers both items.

If I bought Crest toothpaste that produced a RR last week, can I use the RR from last week’s Crest deal on a Crest toothpaste deal this week that is producing a RR, and still get another RR?
Also, if I have 2 shampoos and I have a $5 off 2 shampoo coupon and a $3 RR, can I use both coupons? Technically, the $5 off 2 coupon is one individual coupon and the $3 RR is another individual coupon, and I have 2 products.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Robin! Sometimes the digital points booster and print points booster do stack (as in you get 10,000) but I don’t think Walgreens intends it to be that way. You’re supposed to only be able to use one or the other.

Oops! One more thing I forgot to ask I on my previous comment…

If I get a register reward from Tide that is made by P&G, can I roll that register reward on a Crest Toothpaste (also made by P&G) that is also giving a register reward, and still earn one? How does that whole ā€œone register reward per offerā€ system work? I’ve heard other people say that you can’t get another register reward from the same company (like P&G).

Thanks!

If I have a 5,000 points when you spend $20 digital booster, will it also stack with the 5,000 points when you spend $20 Catalina booster? Hey Lam, I hope this helps. Have a great day!
1). It depends on which offer you want to hit. You can always remove it and then add it back once you’re done with it
2). You can use your $5 RR if you add in an extra item. Since RR is considered MQ, and you can only use 1 MQ per item purchased. So when you add an extra item in your transaction, the $RR can be used
3). It’s sound like the 2nd question we just talked about, so I’m not sure if they can be stacked (edited)

I have those deals under my accounts:
1. Get 5k points when you spend $20 – storewide
2. $5 off a $12 Purchase – multibrand
3. $3 off a $15 Purchase – multibrand
4. $5 off a $15 Purchase – multibrand
5. $5 off a $20 Purchase – multibrand
I separate my order into 3 transactions, $12, 15, and 20. My $15 order will give me a $5 RR.

My questions is, for the best saving
1) should I remove deal 1 & 3 so they would not mess up deal 4 & 5 in the system?
2) Can I still use the $5 RR with deal 5 (since 1 store coupon/transaction so I guess I cannot combine them).
3) Does Walgreen combine 1 & 5 in one transaction since it’s storewide + multibrand ?

These deals available from 7/19 so I cannot try it online by myself at this time D:

Hi Christina! The app has both manufacturer and Walgreens coupons. You can only use 1 manufacturer coupon and 1 Walgreens coupon per item. However, sometimes they offer other Walgreens coupons from different sources. I’m that case, you can use all applicable Walgreens coupons per item. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Kristine! You cannot use the 20% off coupon on sales items. You also cannot use the 20% off coupon with an IVC coupon. Once you use an IVC coupon the item is considered to be on sale and so the 20% off coupon will not work with it. I’ve tried to use them together and they both will not work. Hope this helps

Am I able to use a 20% off $10 purchase Catalina coupon on sale items (ex: Tide on sale for $2.99)? The verbiage on the coupon is confusing me with stating regular priced items. Also, in a scenario with the percentage off, does the IVC coupon deduct first and then the percentage? Or will the 20% come off the item first, then the IVC amount? I’m trying to figure out how to calculate my OOP.

Hi Rebecca! My first advice is don’t ever go back to that store! Ever! LOL This sounds like an ignorant cashier, and that’s what the manager has told them? Just don’t go back to that store if possible. Of course mfr coupons can be combined with sales, that’s the beauty of couponing. Just look at the Walgreens or CVS ad – they are advertising a sale and sometimes mention a coupon from the Sunday paper. They are attracting customers with coupons and sales. I don’t even know how that cashier works there! Sadly this deal is over and you can’t use your coupons. I’m glad you chose an easy deal for your 2nd time couponing and I’m sorry this thing happened to you! You should have been allowed to use your coupons. I hope you have nice cashier next time and you start enjoying couponing like you should! Have a killer week, Rebecca!

Thanks for that. Today I wanted to purchase Purex, it was deal of the week, for the sale price of $1.99. I also had paper manufactuer coupons. I had 4 for $1 off one Purex pods or liquid. So before cashier begins scanning, she tells me I can not use manufactur coupons on the Purex because it is considered an offer in itself and the mfr coupon states limit 1coupon per purchase, not allowed with other mfr coupons or offers, and limit one coupon per shopping trip. So I told her, well I think it means manufactur offers, not store offers. And if I can only use one coupon per shopping trip, that i could split up my transactions. I had planned of buying like 12 Purex, although I only had 4 paper coupons. So I could use one in each transaction, and buy 3 at a time. She absolutely would not let me. She said that she had already been over that with another customer and her manager and he said no. She was like, you cant just pay 99cents. I wanted to get them still because it was still a good deal, so after she rang them all up, she said oh, you had a digital come off. I told her, well, I know what you said, but if that were the case, then nobody would ever get to use coupons on anything on sale. And if that were true, then why did the digital coupon come off? She said because it is a Walgreens coupon. I said, it is a digital coupon but it is a mfr coupon. And on my receipt it does say mfg ecpn. The manager wasnt available and it was late, on a Saturday, so I just left. So is that true? What do you think I should do about that? I was so upset, because I tried calling the survey number and it keeps saying the survey # is incorrect. I dont know anything about couponing at walgreens. This was barely my 2nd time trying it.

I know they are considered coupons and you can only use one “coupon” per item. The other day I was purchasing 7 items. I was using 1 paper manufacturer coupon and 5 RR for a total of 6 coupons. The RR I was using were different dollar amounts; 2-$10, 1-$6, and 2-$5. The coupon was for $1 off one of the items. My subtotal should have been $3.60 after the coupon and RR, but the cashier told me that I cannot use more than 4 RR in one transaction. I’ve only been couponing since August 2019, but I had never heard that before and I cannot recall if I’ve tried to use more than 4 RR in a single transaction before. I ended up keeping the $6 RR because the others were expiring sooner and paid $9.60 +tax OOP. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use points to pay because I was earning points for a spend threshold. Have you ever heard of this 4 RR limit? Thanks!

Hi Lisa! The digital coupons are sometimes tricky when you clip them on the website. Sometimes I have to scroll all the way down just to find them. You can try filtering the coupons by product categories, so it’s easier to find. Let me know if this helps! If not, feel free to come back to update me. šŸ™‚
